After spending the past couple of months keeping tabs on its progress, I finally got to watch the short film No Good Turn by Nigerian actor, writer, producer and director, Udoka Oyeka that opened to rave reviews and kept generating a whole lot of buzz for the duration of the time it completing a successful festival run, and no, this is not a review of the film – head over to tns.ng if that is what you would like to read instead.
So, was it worth the wait? Did it live up to the praise that preceded it? Was the buzz it generated worth it or was it just a scam? I would not be answering any of such questions like I said this is not a review, this is just me telling you that Udoka Oyeka’s 17-minute short film, inspired by the insurgency ravaging the northeastern part of the country has now been made available for public viewing.
