Watch Nadine Ibrahim’s ‘Marked’ Teaser Trailer.

The first teaser trailer has dropped for Nadine Ibrahim’s country-wide documentary, Marked. The documentary has been in the works for two weeks, and, according to Ibrahim, has seen the filmmaker and her production team travel through 20 different states in Nigeria.
Marked is an upcoming documentary that will explore different cultures in the country and their reason behind scarification. The documentary will take into account the reasons behind markings and how the markings intertwine with identity, beauty, and culture.
Nadine Ibrahim directs and produces the documentary, alongside Ishaya Bako, the director of the 2019 political film, 4th Republic. Taiye Shittu is the editor, Ibrahim Daddy, the production manager, with Ibidunni Oladayo in charge of cinematography, while Rex Ricketts is in charge of sound design and CNN’s Arit Akpo is the narrator.
Founder of Naila Media, Nadine Ibrahim is a filmmaker who helmed the short film, ‘Tolu’, in 2018, and was also behind the movie Through her eyes, as well as the feature film, Hakkunde.
No release date has been announced for the documentary yet.
